In the coastal mangroves of Jardines de la Reina, in south east Cuba, I had the opportunity (and courage) to photograph crocodiles. These reptiles are fearsome predators. They have a long and slender snout, equipped with teeth that are meant to grasp and crush. The crocodiles possess the most powerful bite in the animal kingdom. They can slam their jaws shut with a force equivalent to 260 kilogram per square centimeter (3,700 PSI).
